Tools & Offers

The world's most user friendly podcasting platform now has video.

Plus, find out: Why did we make an app in the first place?

Around 3,000 people already use Alitu to create their podcast, and their voice is unanimous: WE WANT VIDEO.

Our team has done a lot over the past five years to make the easiest, fastest, most empowering app we could. All for podcasters who want to move faster and focus on creating.

We've shipped oodles of new features, like the recent ability to edit a transcript as well as a waveform.

However, until today, our focus has been audio-only.

But, now, we're taking our first step into video! It's a tentative first step, but audio-first or not, there's no denying it's nice to see your guests' face.

Don't worry, audio-only still works a treat, and there's no pressure to use the video features. But it's there if you need it!

β€‹πŸ‘‰ If you're already a user, you can now ditch Zoom and still see your guests and co-hosts in the recording studio.

We want to get this right, so we'll move slowly and carefully, and without taking any focus off the exciting audio features we're working on.

Take a look below! Camera feeds for all participants.

Video isn't all we've been working on, so keep an eye out next week for an update that might shave hours off your editing time. Hint: AI. Filters.

Wait, Ali-what? What's an Alitu?

Short answer: Alitu is a radically user friendly all-in-one podcasting platform that automates the tech.

It's an app in your browser you can use on any computer, and it has all the tools you need to record, edit, and host your show. It automatically cleans up your audio, so all you have to do is build your episodes and hit publish.

Our users tell us it helps them produce episodes 3x faster than before, and that's been our experience too.

Long answer: About five years ago, Colin, founder of thePodcastHost, asked thousands of podcasters about their biggest struggles. The most common problem? Editing.

Common complaints heard included:

  • Hours of work to edit each episode
  • Too much software to learn and pay for
  • Burnt out feeling "there must be an easier way"
  • Dread editing, but can't afford/justify outsourcing

We started with editing, and we've let our community guide us since.

Now, Alitu is an end-to-end workflow for podcasting:

Alitu does it all, and sure, that's useful; it also saves time and money, but what really sets it apart is editing.

We tried to re-imagine editing a podcast it as best we could, thinking about how normal non-sound-engineer people actually think. Like me, and maybe you!

Now don't get me wrong! I love tech and getting nerdy, but more than that, I love creating.

The kind of creating that means actually getting things done, and out into the world! And the more traditional ways of editing, with a DAW like Audacity, honestly just gave me a headache and killed my passion ✨ q u i c k l y ✨.

Let me illustrate the point...

Does the sight of this just ruin your day?

DAWs are powerful and sometimes free. But they feel like an airplane cockpit to me.

Alitu automates sounding great, so you can focus.

Build your episodes with reusable drag and drop blocks, edit your text with audio or waveform.

Last thing: Alitu isn't for everyone

We build Alitu with a specific type of podcaster in mind, which means it's not for everyone! We're okay with that because for some people it's the best tool in the world.

Here's just 3 of them, but you'll find LOADS on our Wall of Love.

Is Alitu for you? Take my test!
